Overcoming the World - Week 3 - 7/28/19

As we come to John 18, Jesus is arrested and finds himself at the feet of Pilate, the Roman Governor over Israel. Everyone knows Jesus is innocent, but Pilate makes a deal with the people to either let Jesus go or let a man named Barabbas go. Of course, we know the story, so we know how it ends, but do you know what Barabbas means? It is a fascinating name that finds itself in the most fascinating story in all of history. And incidentally, his name shows us something about ourselves!
