For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

Jesus came not to be served, but to serve. Following Jesus’ example of service, He has called us to not only make disciples of all nations, but to serve our community and the world as well.
This service heart begins in our own community and spreads to our state, our nation, and our world. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries, both inside the church and beyond.

MISSIONS

LIVING STONES DREAM TEAM

Living Stones Church seeks to live out the love of Christ by actively serving our community and supporting ministries that are making a difference both locally and around the world. Through church wide outreach events, LifeGroup initiatives, and financial partnerships, our church family works together to meet practical needs and share the hope of the gospel with people in meaningful ways. Our members often serve by preparing and delivering meals, collecting food and clothing for families in need, spending time with those who are often overlooked, organizing Christmas gift drives, and using their skills to help repair and improve facilities for ministries that serve the vulnerable.

We are grateful to have partnered with several local organizations that are doing incredible work in our community, including:

* Brookwood Community.    * Christ Clinic
* East Spring Branch Food Pantry* Fort Bend Women's Center
* Katy Christian Ministries   * Krause Children's Center
* Orphan Care Solutions       * The Ballard House
* Attack Poverty            * Friends of Sundown

In addition to our local partnerships, we also support international ministry efforts through Samaritan’s Purse, helping extend compassion and relief to people in need around the world. Through these partnerships, Living Stones Church seeks to be a blessing and faithfully represent the heart of Christ wherever there is need.

Mulch Madness!
Be A Blessing
At the end of the letter to the Colossians, the Apostle Paul introduces a group of faithful men and women who served alongside him in sharing the love of Jesus with others (Colossians 4:7–14). These individuals each played different roles, yet together they formed a team that helped advance the mission God had given them. In the same way, the ministry of Living Stones Church is made possible through a team of volunteers who faithfully serve and use their gifts to bless others.

At Living Stones, we call this group our Dream Team. The Dream Team is made up of people who have discovered their gifts and passions and are using them to serve the church and the community. Some serve on Sunday mornings through areas such as children’s ministry, greeting guests, helping with music and worship, running multimedia, or assisting with our set up and tear down teams. Others serve throughout the week in areas such as LifeGroups, missions, prayer and care ministry, communications, student ministry, women’s ministry, and administrative support.

Many of these opportunities involve serving about once a month, while others allow individuals to serve on their own schedule. No matter the role, every act of service helps create an environment where people can grow in their faith and experience the love of Christ. If you would like to learn more about joining the Living Stones Dream Team, we would love to help you find a place where you can serve and make a difference.
